06 Sep Vision 2021: machine vision sets positive signal
This year’s Vision, the international trade fair for machine vision, will once again bring together industry representatives on site from October 5 to 7 in Stuttgart, offering an overview of machine vision products and services as well as insights into technologies of today and tomorrow. The more than 250 companies that decided to present at Vision so far, all agree that it is vital to stage Vision 2021. “After this enforced break, we, the exhibitors, together with Messe Stuttgart, can send a positive signal to the international market and economy and show that the industry is optimistic about the future,” says Alexander van der Lof, CEO of TKH Group. “Face-to-face meetings at trade fairs are and will remain immensely important for exchange and networking. That is why Vision 2021 is an indispensable platform,” Martin Grzymek, Sales Manager Europe at Teledyne, is also certain. Messe Stuttgart already confirms that around every second exhibiting company travels to Stuttgart from abroad. At the same time, it is assumed that the trade fair will have a much stronger European character this year. Exchange remains indispensable According to their own statements, many companies have used the time to implement new technology trends and develop new products. As a result, visitors will obtain the latest information at first-hand. “I think that all exhibitors, just like us at Basler, will make an increased effort to present trends and innovations in computer vision technology from recent years in years in a manner that is as practical, comprehensible and interesting as possible,” says Dr. Dietmar Ley, CEO of Basler. The company plans to present product innovations at Vision. “The exchange of complex topics and facts can partly only be clarified and explained in a personal exchange, according to the motto: just draw a diagram,” knows Tobias Wichmann, CEO of ISW, which will present itself at the Vision Integration Area as a provider of complete machine vision solutions. New players and constellations According to the organizers, the trade show will also reflect the dynamism of the market: On the one hand, visitors will meet new players, such as exhibiting companies from the automation industry; on the other hand, they will see new constellations of companies that have emerged on the market as a result of corporate transactions, for example the newly founded TKH Vision Group or Teledyne. Young companies In addition to the joint stand funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) for young innovative companies from Germany, the newly created Vision Start-up World will present itself as a new platform. “As a young company in particular, we benefit from the diverse attention of Vision,” reports Dr. Christoph Garbe, managing shareholder of HD Vision Systems. The start-up, which was last year awarded the title of Vision Start-up of the Year, plans to showcase, among others, its latest generation of 3D bin picking based on the light field combined with advanced AI algorithms.
