03 Aug Silicon Software merged with Basler AG
Silicon Software GmbH has been merged into Basler AG. Basler had already acquired the company in 2018. After some functions such as production, logistics, sales and technical support had already been merged shortly after the acquisition, other segments followed step by step. The integration under company law now concludes this process.
Dr. Dietmar Ley, Basler CEO as well as managing director of Silicon Software, says: “The employees of both companies have already been working so closely together since the acquisition that the step to legally unite both companies under the name Basler AG feels very natural and logical.”
With the acquisition of Silicon Software, Basler had expanded its product range to include frame grabbers and software (VisualApplets). According to the company, the acquisition was made to support Basler’s growth strategy, particularly in the computer vision market. With the merger, the product segments frame grabbers/interface cards and VisualApplets will be managed under the Basler brand.
